SHADOWS OF THE COLLECTIVE

Group exhibition of Romanian artists at Tete-a-Tete art gallery in the city of Cluj-Napoca.

Theme of the exhibition:
„Shadows of the Collective” is an invitation to explore the place of the individual in a world which shapes us, pressures us and accompanies us at every step. It is about
the traces our society leaves inside us - sometimes visible, sometimes hidden, projected as a silent shadow on personal identity. It is about the tension between who we are and who we become under the eyes of the collective.

MAN IN COMMUNION WITH NATURE

Oil on canvas

64.5 x 64.5 cm - framed

The rough shadow of a man with raised arms appears to be worshipping the nature around him, consisting of a field of tall flowers and a bird or butterfly. An invisible string passes through the painting, connecting the human figure and its environment.

I love the color red and to me it is the stuff of life, so it was only natural to have plenty of red in this painting which is an homage to the buzzing natural world around us.
